Daffodil Art Prize
The Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival awards a prize worth $500 for an art work containing daffodils to be exhibited at the Festival.
The competition is open to entrants 17 years of age and over and the winner is announced at the Festival Opening and Exhibition.
The art work in oil, acrylic, watercolour or mixed media or sculpture is not acquired but should be suitable and available for media purposes by the Festival. The artists are fully recognised if this occurs.
A major condition of entry is that the work must contain recognisable daffodils and should be for sale.
This is an exciting annual feature of the Festival which commenced in 2007 with many artists and painters from throughout the area entering.
There is an additional prize for a Watercolour containing daffodils, the Esther Rose Memorial Art Prize of $200. Esther was the inaugural winner of the Daffodil Art Prize in 2007 with ‘Narcissus’ and again in 2010 with ‘Perpetual Pride’.
Entry forms and further details will be available soon.
