Inaugural “Spirit of Kyneton & District” Photography Prize

held during Kyneton Daffodil & Arts Festival 2008

The inaugural “Spirit of Kyneton & District” Photography prize sponsored by GALLERY 40 was awarded to Jacinta Bobos from Gisborne for her work entitled “Making Tracks” – Waiting at the Malmsbury Station.

Highly Commended Prizes were awarded to Kyneton based photographer, Howard Maylor for his composition “Pipers Dawn”, and to Sam White from Sidonia for his work “Living Landscape”.

The three photographs show very different elements of the district: an evocative winter misty morning in Piper St, lichen-clad enduring granite rocks on a local farm and the sunset quality of the winning image of children.

The Exhibition at the Gallery at 40 Mollison Street, Kyneton will continue on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until the 12th October, the weekend of the Kyneton Jazz & Heritage Festival.
