Margaret Castle - Winner of the 2008 Art Prize Winner Buskers competition: 'Krew Balance' won the buskers competition and also that Winner of the Best Decorated Window competition: Balcony on Piper with the theme 'Kyneton Karnivale'. Runners up: Debz Fashions and Gilded Web. See Press Releases for more results. ======================================== This year’s Festival marks the 36th annual Festival. The first Festival was held in 1973 as a celebration of the Spring Flower Show, the Festival of Flowers, the Festival of One Act Plays, a Daffodil Ball and the Kyneton Art Show, concluding with a Parade and Fair. It has grown to include a wide range of community and arts activities including as well as the original and ongoing events, the Kyneton Antique and Collectibles fair, art shows, concerts, exhibitions and fairs, open gardens, decorated windows and home gardens awards, ferret-racing and wine and garden tours. Again on the final Sunday, the 14th September there was a magnificent grand parade and fair.
