1.         BLEAK HOUSE GARDENS, 166 Degraves Mill Drive, Malmsbury (take Calder Highway to Malmsbury exit, travel over bridge, first turn right)

Maarten & Pamela invite visitors to roam through 10 acres of gardens and groves where they will encounter peacocks and guinea fowls.  Children are welcome to visit with our Irish Crucifix Donkeys Charlotte, Francesca and Bella. 

Open each day during Festival 10am-4pm. Entry $5.00 No pets.

Group bookings & buses welcome at $4.00 pp.

2.         BRINGALBIT, 512 Sidonia Road, via Kyneton

The Fox Family

The historic property of Bringalbit is a farm and country retreat. The 1870’s granite homestead is surrounded by 10 acres of parkland and gardens which have been developed over the past 130 years.  The ornamental lake was made in the late 1890’s when many exotic trees were planted.  Recent plantings include perennial and shrub borders, roses, succulents, quince and crab-apple walks.  Accommodation available.

Open Daily:  Coaches welcome.

Morning and afternoon tea available.

3.         CAMP DAVID, 1283 Kyneton-Springhill Road, Spring Hill

Caroline Ward

A large country garden which features a dam with surrounding planting, lovely walks and expansive view across the countryside and a hedged vegetable garden, extensive tree planting under-planted with decorative shrubs and bulbs.

4.         CORINELLA, Opposite 999 Kyneton-Metcalfe Rd. Green Hill

Sue & Steve Wright

Corinella was first farmed in the 1870's. It was in the Rollinson family for 3 generations and during that time a garden was made around the house mainly the work of Norma and Hal Rollinson.  Now Corinella is a guest house. The garden with no lawn and gravel paths winding through old shrubs, trees and bulbs still thrives.  Refreshments and some plant sales.

Buses catered for by arrangement.

5.         GLENMOR, 1234 Trentham Road, Tylden

Maureen & Glenn Jacobs

A 2 acre garden with Spring bulbs, sculptures by local artists, winding hedges and dry stone walls.  A knot garden planted in tulips leads through a grove of birches to a dry tolerant parterre garden and a Rose arbour with views to Mt Macedon.

Buses Only Sept 1-11 by appointment.

An English-style garden on a gentle hillside.  This large town garden has evolved over the years into a picturesque blend of mature trees, ground cover, hellebores and daffodils.

Open 3rd & 4th Sept (1st weekend) 10am-5pm. Buses and groups anytime by appointment

7.         HAWTHORN PARK, 567 Chanters Lane, Tylden

Helen & Martin

Hawthorn Park is a working farm with the original bluestone house built in 1856. The house is surrounded by picturesque gardens and views of the surrounding country side.  The structured garden has been designed with garden rooms, each enclosed by hedges of Holly, Luma, Viburnum and Leylandii. Features include a birch garden full of daffodils, a perennial border, crab apple walk and a secret garden with unusual plants and shrubs. Potted plants for sale.

Open: 10am – 4pm 2nd 3rd 4th & 10th 11th Sept . Buses by appointment.

8.         LAURIMAR GLEN, 213 Northumberland Road, Pipers Creek

Janet & Eric Scoble

Not only thousands of daffodils, but also a variety of animals, a blue stone 1840's Crofter's Cottage, a huge dolls house, 1900's General Store replica, Vintage farm machinery await you at Laurimar Glen, a 200 acre working farm and Farmstay.

Open each day during Festival - 10.00am - 4.00pm, and after Festival groups by appointment only until end of Sept.  Light meals available.

9.         PARNDA NGUNYA, 134 Verekers Lane, Kyneton

A still developing 5 year old garden of 2½ acres, 3 km from Kyneton.  Driveway has plantings of chanticleer pears and a large variety of trees, ornamental shrubs and unusual spring bulbs.

See a covered vegetable garden, free range chickens and miniature horses Gemma & Penny.

Members of the Kyneton Art group will be painting & demonstrating in the garden (weather permitting).

10.       ROSEBERY HILL, Pipers Creek - Pastoria Road, Pipers Creek

Barry & Ruth Murphy

‘Rosebery Hill’ has a long driveway lined with daffodils & white blossomed Lucerne trees, and a 250 metre daffodil walk with hundreds of blooms in a wide range of colours.  Approximately 8 acres are devoted to rare and unusual trees and shrubs – mostly planted in the last 31 years.  There is a framework of much older conifers and oaks.  Of particular interest are the more than 81-year-old cork oak, and a topiary section of self sown cypress.

The garden is rambling and undulating and paths are not made –  solid footwear is recommended.

11.       ST HELIER, 55 Burton Avenue, Kyneton

This garden developed over the last 10 years (and ongoing) will have daffodils and a variety of smaller bulbs in flower along with hellebores and some winter flowering shrubs.  The winter garden features Birch with red stemmed Cornus and Nandina. Plant sales.

12.       SHERARA – 382 Shepherd’s Hill Road, Lauriston

Sandra and David Rowland

This spacious garden overlooks the valley of Shepherd’s Hut Creek where the Sherara alpacas graze. Come see them, graceful gums, the olive grove, the enclosed orchard and vegetable garden, the tree house and swings, garden walls of glacial rock found on the property, sinuous green hedges, shrub and climbing roses, perennials, iris, blossom trees and of course, the daffodils.

On Wednesday 7th Sept, between 1pm and 4pm Lilac Moon Tai Chi Group will demonstrate this refined art. You are welcome to join in.

13.       SPRING HILL NURSERY, Cnr Trentham & Springhill Roads, Tylden

An extensive award winning Nursery and Gardens which have now been open for nearly 20 years.  Come and see the mature espaliered fruit trees and orchard and say hello to Georgie the Cockatoo.  We have a newly opened Gallery of oil paintings from a local artist as well as a huge selection of plants, pots and garden features of all kinds.  All this with free entry.

Pittosporum hedges surround a beautifully designed garden which includes a heritage listed walnut tree, reflection pond, secret garden and crab apple walk leading to a bluestone house built in 1850.

15.       WILLOWBROOK, 290 Redesdale Road, Kyneton 1.9 km past the cemetery on the right hand side of road.

The property is 10 acres. Enter the Willowbrook Garden via the daffodil lined sweeping driveway.  The garden is approximately 3 acres. The manicured lawns and landscaped gardens, make a perfect setting for a tranquil experience.  Sit by the fish pond and listen to the calming waterfall as it cascades over the rocks. View the many historical pieces of olden day farm machinery scattered throughout the Garden.  Enjoy a sumptuous Morning or Afternoon tea. Gluten free available.

16.       ZEN’S MEMORIAL GARDEN, 545 Kyneton Springhill Road, Kyneton

This large garden and hobby farm, established for 30 years has a long driveway lined by red Photinia trees which lead to the main blossom filled garden.  It has a wide range of daffodils, bluebells and many hardy perennials, roses, shrubs and rare unusual trees and sculptures throughout the garden.

You can see many varieties of animals: colourful alpacas, ducks, chickens, aviary birds, guinea pigs – some for sale.

Mini nursery also open with pot plants available.  Exhibition and paintings and cards for sale.
