Schools from across the Macedon Ranges Shire perform for family and friends at Kyneton Shire Hall. 12 noon.

 

‘Wine, Women & Song?’ ADFAS Lecture – Sophie Oosterwijk Thu 8th Sept 7.30pm

Hear & see Sophie Oosterwijk’s illustrated lecture on Dutch genre painting by Vermeer and his contemporaries. Kyneton Town Hall. Cost $20 including supper.

Gala Opening of Festival Thurs Sept 1 with Exhibition to Sept 11, Mont St Quinton Barracks, 10 Market Street

The Daffodil Art Prize will be awarded and exhibited at the Opening of the Festival with support of Coliban Bridge Food & Wine Trail and Ashby’s Larder. Call at this venue for Festival information. 10am to 4pm daily.

 

Rotary Youth Art Exhibition at Gala Opening Thurs Sept 1-11

View the work of student artists 15-25 years old. Awards presented at Festival opening includes painting, sculpture, multimedia, photography and textiles.

 

‘The Art of Mosaic’ in Garden at 60 Dettmanns Lane Sept 1-11

Exhibition Landscapes by John Lloyd 48 Piper St

Artist John Lloyd presents his work at the John Lloyd Gallery, 48 Piper Street.  Fri, Sat & Sun 11-5pm and open most other days.

 

Quilt Exhibition, Pick Up Stitches, 46 Piper St from Fri 2nd  Sept

An exhibition of quilts will hang in the store for viewing throughout the Festival. Open 10-4pm Wed-Mon.

 

‘The Country Trail’ at Lauriston Press 37B Piper St Opening Sept Sat 10 2pm, Sun Sept 11

Featuring six Printmakers who create prints relating to ‘The Country Trail’.  Special Guest to Open the Exhibition which continues to Sat 1st October. Thurs-Mon 10-5pm.

 

‘Searching for her Innocence’, Electric Wave Hair Design, 162 Mollison St Opening Sept 10 5-7pm

Exhibition by K N Rodriguez curated by Kathryn Bowden will transform the typically ‘female’ domain of the hairdressers and create an environment where gender stereotypes are scrutinised creating discussion and debate. Exhibition continues to 8th Oct.

 

Kyneton Art & Craft Show Kyneton Town Hall Fri Sept 9, Sat 10 & 11   

The Kyneton Art Group, (founded 1977) has members who use a variety of mediums, styles and subjects.  They exhibit and sell the work of local artists. With craftspeople at this Annual Art & Craft Show at Kyneton Town Hall. Official opening Fri 10th at 7.30pm.
