Daffodil Art Prize entries called for Kyneton Festival
Entries are open again for the $500 Kyneton Daffodil Art Prize to be announced at the Grand Opening event on 1st September and displayed throughout the Festival.
Now in its fifth year the Art Prize has been expanded to include sculpture. In 2011 the prize was “Perpetual Pride’ by Esther Rose.
“We were delighted last year with the number of entries and range of styles” Festival Secretary Marg Dearricott said.
“Again the work should contain recognisable daffodils which can be fantasy or abstract and need not be of daffodils only” she said.
It is expected that entries will be an image that relates to the region and can be reproduced for the Festival to be used in its promotions.
Entries for the Art Prize close on Friday August 12.
Please note that photography and computer generated images still cannot be considered but that there is an opportunity for photographers to enter work in the Photography prize again to be exhibited at Gallery 40.
